Surfing and Northland

Northland is renowned for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear water and boosts the best climate in the country. Shipwreck Bay, on Northlands West coast, is considered one of the countries best and largest left hand point breaks stretching over 2km. Throughout Northland there are 43 surf spots and a 280° swell window, making Kerikeri High School an ideal place to come and combine surfing with academic studies.
